November 9th 2005

SRJC AG-EXPO

We were part of the educational seminar put on by the AG Embassadors for High School students of Sonoma County. We hosted six stations including Horse Anatomy, Roping, Nutrition, Grooming, Tack Identification and Farrier Science. The 150 High School students cycled through our demonstrations learning about the vast oportunities in the Equine Industry.

Thank you for all the Club Memebers who participated! A special thanks to Stuart Greenburg, our Farrier Science Instructor, and Shiloh Bishop who brought her Arab Gelding and Miniature Horse Gelding as demonstration horses!

December 10th-11th

We had a booth at the High School Rodeo located at the Santa Rosa Fairgrouds! Equi-Ed, SRJC's theraputic riding program joined us as well. We handed out information and answered student's questions about the available programs at SRJC. Thank you to all who participated!

2006

Saturday and Sunday January 21st and 22nd
CHSRA District 2 High School Rodeo! We had an informational booth about the club and the equine studies department at SRJC. We also sold our Sweet Apple Treats for Horses and home made granola! A special THANKS to Larry who set us up.

Sunday the 22nd was also our FIRST Spring 2006 Semester Meeting! Thanks for the turn out! Don't forget to check the newsletter too!

Sunday January 8th -- Thanks to Larry at Western Farms Center we hosted a bake sale and informational booth from 9:30am-3:30pm! We raised $107 by selling:

19 Donuts
12 Muffins
9 Cups of Coffee - Donation from The Filling Station Cafe!
14 Bagels
12 Packages of Linda's Horse Treats
4 Marissa's homemade Brownies
3 Bags Jordan's homemade Granola

Thank you Linda, Shane, Marissa, Ashley, Jorday, Emily and Bryce for coming and helping!
