Hi Everyone!

Our club is now official! The Inter-Club-Council will review our "constitution" and mission statement and it will be voted in on the 17th of October at the next ICC meeting.

The Nominations are out and you have one day left to get your votes in! Please email your votes to Linda. If you need to see the ballot visit our website's home page.

We need more ICC representatives! ICC has a bi-weekly meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 12-1pm The ICC is the governing body of clubs on campus and it is important for us to show face and be highly represented at the meetings. If you have that opening in your schedule and you are willing to be a back-up representative, please email or nominate yourself at the next meeting.

Linda is writing an essay for the Sonoma County Horse Journal She is asking both equine industry professionals, and non-pros to respond to two questions, 1) is what qualities does it take to become an accomplished horse person (different than an accomplished rider), and 2) what is your definition of a ' horse whisperer' and are you one? She asks that interested parties please respond to her email address linpen@msn.com.

SRJC Student Services website - we have access to both The Bearfacts, and the Pet Tracks, two separate publications put out by SRJC student services that we can advertise our Equestrian Club meetings and activities This would be the job of the VP Public Relations and the School Outreach Comittee. If you are looking for a simple explanation of our club and its purpose please review our website and the page titled "Our Purpose."

This Sunday October 8th < 8am-3pm > We still need 3 more volunteers to man our booth and help the judges at the horse show in Sebastopol. If you can attend, for 3 or more hours during the day, to help out please email Ashley < ampequine@yahoo.com > You will get to see how a horse show is put on, you will meet many professionals in the area, and lunch may be provided!

SRJC Equestrian Club is also accepting tack donations! We recently recieved a very large & generous donation from a single individual - It's time to schedule a tack cleaning BBQ! Lets talk about it at the next meeting!
